This Warranty Policy explains how product warranties are handled for products purchased from My Ventures LLC, doing business as WorkBay Depot ("WorkBay Depot," "we," "us," or "our") through www.workbaydepot.com.
Because WorkBay Depot sells commercial, industrial, warehouse, facility, and shop equipment from multiple manufacturers, warranty coverage varies by manufacturer, brand, product, model, and application.
Please review the applicable product listing and manufacturer's warranty documentation for warranty terms specific to your equipment.
1. Warranty Coverage at WorkBay Depot
Many products sold by WorkBay Depot are covered by a manufacturer's warranty.
The existence, duration, scope, exclusions, remedies, registration requirements, service procedures, and other terms of a manufacturer's warranty are determined by the applicable manufacturer and may vary substantially between products.
Unless WorkBay Depot expressly provides a separate written warranty for a particular product, WorkBay Depot does not independently create, extend, modify, replace, or guarantee a manufacturer's warranty.
Where a manufacturer's warranty applies, the manufacturer's warranty terms govern the warranty coverage for that product.
If you would like to confirm the applicable warranty for a product before purchasing, please contact WorkBay Depot and provide the product name, model number, or SKU.
2. Manufacturer-Specific Warranty Terms
Warranty terms vary by brand and product.
Where manufacturer-specific warranty information is displayed on a WorkBay Depot product page, quotation, invoice, or other Website page, that information is provided for customer convenience and should be read together with the manufacturer's official warranty terms.
Depending on the manufacturer and product, warranty coverage may differ based on factors such as:
-
Product model;
-
Product category;
-
Commercial or residential use;
-
Parts or components;
-
Batteries;
-
Motors;
-
Electrical components;
-
Accessories;
-
Labor;
-
Hours of operation;
-
Date of purchase;
-
Installation requirements;
-
Maintenance requirements;
-
Warranty registration; or
-
Geographic location.
The applicable manufacturer's official warranty documentation controls if there is a conflict between a general warranty summary on the WorkBay Depot Website and the manufacturer's applicable warranty terms.
3. Authorized Dealer Status
WorkBay Depot works with manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and other product sources as part of its commercial equipment business.
We will only represent WorkBay Depot as an "authorized dealer," "authorized reseller," or "authorized distributor" for a particular brand when that status has actually been established with the applicable manufacturer or authorized distribution channel.
The presence of a manufacturer's product, name, trademark, logo, photograph, or other material on the WorkBay Depot Website does not, by itself, constitute a representation that WorkBay Depot holds a particular dealer or distributor status.
Customers who want to confirm WorkBay Depot's dealer status or warranty eligibility for a particular brand before purchasing may contact us at support@workbaydepot.com or (888) 599-3180.
4. What Manufacturer Warranties May Cover
Coverage is determined exclusively by the applicable manufacturer's warranty.
Depending on the manufacturer and product, warranty coverage may include certain:
-
Defects in materials;
-
Defects in workmanship;
-
Defective components;
-
Mechanical or electrical failures occurring under covered operating conditions; or
-
Other defects expressly identified in the manufacturer's warranty.
The fact that a product experiences a failure does not necessarily mean that the failure qualifies for warranty coverage.
The applicable manufacturer or warranty administrator generally determines whether a particular condition or failure is covered.
5. Common Warranty Exclusions
Specific exclusions are determined by the applicable manufacturer.
Depending on the manufacturer's warranty, coverage may exclude or limit claims involving:
-
Normal wear and tear;
-
Consumable or maintenance items;
-
Improper use or operation;
-
Abuse, misuse, or negligence;
-
Accidents or physical damage;
-
Improper installation or assembly;
-
Unauthorized repairs or modifications;
-
Failure to perform required maintenance;
-
Use outside specified capacities or operating conditions;
-
Improper electrical connections or power supply;
-
Environmental damage;
-
Corrosion;
-
Cosmetic damage;
-
Freight or transportation damage;
-
Commercial use where a warranty applies only to residential use;
-
Damage caused by non-approved accessories, parts, or modifications; or
-
Other conditions excluded by the manufacturer's warranty.
Customers should review the manufacturer's documentation for the exact exclusions applicable to their product.
6. Warranty Registration
Some manufacturers may require or recommend product registration as a condition of, or in connection with, warranty service.
Where applicable, customers are responsible for completing required manufacturer warranty registration within the manufacturer's specified period.
We recommend retaining:
-
Your WorkBay Depot order confirmation;
-
Invoice or proof of purchase;
-
Product model number;
-
Serial number;
-
Manufacturer warranty documentation;
-
Installation records where applicable; and
-
Maintenance or service records where applicable.
These materials may be required to process a warranty claim.
7. How to File a Warranty Claim
If you believe a product purchased from WorkBay Depot has a defect that may qualify for warranty coverage, contact us at:
Email: support@workbaydepot.com
Phone: (888) 599-3180
Please provide, where available:
-
Your WorkBay Depot order number;
-
Your name and contact information;
-
Product name;
-
Manufacturer;
-
Model number;
-
Serial number;
-
Date the issue was discovered;
-
Detailed description of the problem; and
-
Photographs or video showing the issue, if applicable.
We may request additional information reasonably necessary to identify the product, document the condition, troubleshoot the issue, or submit the claim to the manufacturer, supplier, distributor, or applicable warranty administrator.
8. WorkBay Depot's Role in Warranty Claims
Where appropriate, WorkBay Depot may assist customers with a manufacturer's warranty process by:
-
Helping identify applicable warranty information;
-
Collecting information concerning the reported issue;
-
Providing proof-of-purchase information;
-
Communicating with the manufacturer, supplier, distributor, or warranty administrator;
-
Providing available claim instructions; or
-
Helping coordinate an approved warranty resolution.
WorkBay Depot's assistance with a warranty claim does not mean that WorkBay Depot determines whether the claim is covered.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, the applicable manufacturer or warranty administrator determines warranty eligibility and the remedy available under its warranty.
9. Warranty Remedies
If a warranty claim is approved, the available remedy is determined by the applicable manufacturer's warranty.
Depending on the product, manufacturer, and circumstances, an approved remedy may include:
-
Troubleshooting or technical support;
-
Replacement parts;
-
Repair;
-
Manufacturer-authorized service;
-
Replacement equipment;
-
Credit or refund where authorized; or
-
Another remedy specified by the manufacturer.
WorkBay Depot cannot guarantee a particular warranty remedy before the manufacturer or applicable warranty administrator evaluates and approves the claim.
A manufacturer's decision to repair a product or provide replacement components instead of replacing the entire product does not entitle the customer to a different remedy unless required by the applicable warranty or law.
10. Labor, Installation, and Service Costs
Manufacturer warranties do not necessarily cover labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, diagnostics, travel, freight, shipping, or other service-related costs.
Unless the applicable manufacturer's warranty expressly provides otherwise, customers should not assume that warranty coverage includes:
-
Technician labor;
-
On-site service;
-
Installation or reinstallation;
-
Equipment removal;
-
Electrical, plumbing, gas, or structural work;
-
Rigging;
-
Diagnostic charges;
-
Travel charges;
-
Freight charges; or
-
Other incidental expenses.
The manufacturer's applicable warranty determines which costs, if any, are covered.
11. Replacement Parts
A manufacturer may determine that replacement parts are the appropriate remedy for a covered warranty claim.
Where replacement parts are supplied, the customer may be responsible for installation unless labor or installation is expressly included under the manufacturer's warranty.
Certain repairs or installations should only be performed by qualified or manufacturer-authorized personnel. Customers should follow all manufacturer instructions and safety requirements.
12. Freight and Shipping Damage Is Different From a Warranty Claim
Damage that occurs during transportation is generally handled as a shipping or freight damage claim, rather than as a manufacturer's warranty claim.
If your order arrives damaged, please follow the procedures in our Shipping Policy.
Customers should inspect deliveries promptly. For freight shipments, visible damage should be noted on the carrier's delivery receipt or bill of lading before signing whenever reasonably possible.
Shipping damage should be reported to WorkBay Depot within 7 days of delivery.
Please retain the product, packaging, shipping materials, photographs, delivery documentation, and other relevant evidence while the claim is being reviewed.
13. Returns Are Different From Warranty Claims
A warranty claim and a return request are separate processes.
Our general Return and Refund Policy provides a 30-day return window for eligible products, subject to applicable conditions, exclusions, manufacturer restrictions, and other terms.
An eligible change-of-mind return may be subject to:
-
A 25% restocking fee;
-
Customer-paid return shipping;
-
Unused-condition requirements; and
-
Original packaging, tags, accessories, documentation, and other applicable return requirements.
A product defect reported outside the applicable return period may still qualify for manufacturer warranty service if the product remains within the applicable manufacturer's warranty period.
Conversely, the existence of a manufacturer warranty does not automatically make a product eligible for a return or refund.
Please review our Return and Refund Policy for complete return terms.
14. Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications
Before repairing, modifying, disassembling, or replacing components on equipment believed to have a warranty-covered defect, customers should review the manufacturer's warranty requirements or contact WorkBay Depot or the manufacturer.
Unauthorized repairs, modifications, components, or service may affect warranty eligibility depending on the manufacturer's terms and applicable law.
WorkBay Depot is not responsible for warranty coverage denied by a manufacturer because of conduct that violates the manufacturer's applicable warranty requirements, except to the extent otherwise required by law.
15. Product Maintenance and Proper Use
Commercial and industrial equipment may require specific inspection, maintenance, lubrication, charging, cleaning, storage, or service procedures.
Customers are responsible for reviewing and following the manufacturer's:
-
Owner's manual;
-
Safety instructions;
-
Maintenance schedule;
-
Operating limitations;
-
Installation instructions; and
-
Other applicable documentation.
Failure to follow manufacturer requirements may affect warranty coverage.
16. Warranty Transferability
Some manufacturer warranties apply only to the original purchaser and may not transfer when equipment is sold or otherwise transferred to another owner.
Other manufacturers may permit warranty transfers subject to specific requirements.
Customers should consult the applicable manufacturer's warranty documentation to determine whether a warranty is transferable.
17. Manufacturer Warranty Changes
Manufacturers may modify warranty programs, terms, procedures, exclusions, or coverage from time to time.
The warranty applicable to a particular purchase is generally determined by the manufacturer's warranty terms applicable to that product and transaction.
WorkBay Depot makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate warranty information, but manufacturer-provided information may change.
If warranty coverage is an important factor in your purchasing decision, we encourage you to contact us before placing your order so that the applicable manufacturer warranty can be confirmed.
18. No Separate WorkBay Depot Warranty Unless Expressly Stated
Except where WorkBay Depot expressly provides a separate written warranty, products are sold subject to the applicable manufacturer's warranty, if any.
WorkBay Depot does not independently create, extend, modify, or replace a manufacturer's warranty merely by selling a product or assisting with a warranty claim.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive any warranty, remedy, right, or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or waived under applicable law.
19. Relationship to Other WorkBay Depot Policies
This Warranty Policy should be read together with our:
-
Terms of Service;
-
Return and Refund Policy;
-
Shipping Policy;
-
Cancellation Policy; and
-
Applicable product-specific or manufacturer warranty terms.
If a manufacturer's warranty contains more specific terms governing a warranty claim, those manufacturer-specific terms govern the manufacturer's warranty.
If WorkBay Depot provides a separate written warranty or transaction-specific agreement, that document governs to the extent expressly stated.
